United States: Physicians have said that vapes can lead to fatal reactions in children – a new set of risks linked to the gadgets.
Although e-cigarettes are prohibited as a product for minors, recent data show that one in four children has tried vaping at least once, and one in ten use vapes on a regular basis.

Flavored vapes often have minute parts of allergens, including nuts, dairy, and gluten, and now some children are ending up in the hospital.
Earlier this year, figures from NHS showed that there had been a 733 percent increase in youths or younger Britons admitted to hospitals due to the use of vaping since 2020, and some of the patients are as young as four, Daily Mail reported.
What more are the experts stating?
In flavors that emulate particular types of food or candy products, health professionals caution that the likelihood of an allergic reaction from vapes is significantly higher, and these products are widely known to be favorites amongst children.
One allergy charity is now urging vaping companies to begin putting allergy warnings on their products.
As they are not classified as ‘food or drink,’ there is no legislation at the moment forcing them to do this.
Some peoples’ allergies also have no relation to a food source but are caused by propylene glycol, a clear, odorless liquid that is used to flavor most e-cigarette vapor.
Though many can be allergic to propylene glycol, they are not in a position to come across it most of the time, Daily Mail reported.
What more are the people suffering from?
People with sensitivities to the compound suffer from wheezing, simultaneous asthma attacks, and hives if they take the liquid orally or breathe a smoke created by an enthusiast who has vaped it. Till now, one of the most famous vaping allergy cases is that of Ewan Fisher.
Mr Fisher from Nottingham was diagnosed with Hypersensitivity pneumonitis. This is a type of allergic reaction where the air sac and airways in the lungs become severely swollen.
