More about the news
Snow has been reported in parts of New York State, and winter begins this weekend.
But it appears that even the flu season may have started early as many doctors and pediatricians are already noting that more people are presenting flu-like symptoms in recent days.

It should be noted that, per reports as well as the New York State flu tracker, flu activity in the Empire State has been over 23-thousand all this season, as wyrk.com reported.
Rising cases
New York City had 2,438 cases, the “Metro” area had 1,585 cases, and the Western region had 215 cases.
The total collectively translates to an increase of 53 percent in reported cases compared to what was reported last week.

A health expert added, on asking about the definition of the flu, “Influenza (also referred to as the “flu”) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses.”
The health experts are urging them to have flu shots. Additionally, in some locations, a nasal flu spray option is also being made available.
However, receiving a traditional shot is a much easier task than the other ones, as wyrk.com reported.
